I didn't have much inspiration this week as far as beauty is concerned, but I did want to say something that is super important for every woman (and any man who reads this) to here.
You are beautiful. You are worth it. You're going to go places. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Don't let yourself think otherwise. Find something you are good at and keep doing it, and one day you will excel. My dad told me to find the one thing that I'm good at, and pretend that I'm going to best at it, that I'm the best at it out of all the people in this town. Let that be your motivation. You are unique. You are YOU. If the whole world wants to have red hair, and you prefer your natural blonde streaks, embrace those blonde streaks! If the whole world wants bold brows and a bold lip, but you prefer au naturale, rock that natural look. Be YOU. Why am I saying this? Because there are so many young girls and even adults that feel like they need to be trendy to fit in. You don't NEED to fit in anywhere. Some people feel like they've got to have the latest high end fashions and the newest eyeshadow palette to feel beautiful. You ARE beautiful...just the way you are. The point? Be you. Be what you love. Be what you are passionate about. Eat it, drink it, sleep it...whatever you gotta do. Just be who YOU were meant to be.

Welcome back my lovely readers. As promised, every Sunday will be a time of reflection on God's Word. Today's Scripture is out of the book of Romans. As the title suggests, we'll be looking at nine different benefits of being justified through Christ's sacrifice. I'm not going to go into a lot of detail on these points, but I will list them, and add a verse next to it so you can further study. Note that these are not necessarily in order.
NINE BENEFITS OF JUSTIFICATION: eternal life (John 3:16) peace (John 14:27) joy (John 15:11) hope (Romans 15:4) patience (James 1:3) experience (James 1:12) love (1 Thessalonians 3:12) the Holy Ghost (Acts 5:32) grace (Romans 1:5) It's important to know too that there are many many other benefits of our relationship with the Lord. The good news is that we can't do a thing to earn these things. Christ's death on the cross did all that for us; all we have to do is accept Him into our lives and allow Him to make the changes. Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful Lord's Day, and I look forward to seeing you on Thursday. Hey you guys! Welcome back to SGAB. So today I am going to share with you one of my favorite beauty bloggers by the name of Jaclyn Hill. She's huge in the beauty world, especially on YouTube as a beauty guru. She is wonderful and down to earth, and has a heart of gold. A friend of mine just recently asked me about different beauty techniques that she could start doing, so I thought, now there's an idea for Thursday's blog post. Then I thought, wait, how can I explain this on a blog post without taking a million different pictures of myself putting on makeup when I'm about to hop in the shower. Then the Jaclyn Hill lightbulb turned on. Below is a video on how to do a fresh, clean everyday makeup look that won't even take you fifteen minutes to do. Remember to practice, practice, practice! And as Jaclyn would say, blend, blend, blend! Welcome back folks.
As promised, this will be my first devotional of 2017. The point brought out in this post is actually based off a sermon that my pastor had tonight. I took a few notes so I could use it. The above Scripture is what this is all about: the role of a divine messenger. We are all messengers. We may not have wings and big bright halos like our ethereal friends that appeared to the shepherds, but we do have a message. But first, what is a divine messenger? What makes him or her so special? Well, a messenger is someone that carries a message or a task, but they are divinely inspired by God to do so. The message: This is important. Our message is that God loves us, and that His love is unconditional. His mercy is what keeps us out of an awful place called hell. I know that term is not popular amongst today's Christians, but my Bible tells me that hell is real, BUT so is heaven. Trust in God's love and mercy, and you can get to heaven. The method: Faithfulness...be faithful in serving God. Be faithful in reading your Bible. Simply tell them "Jesus loves you". You don't have to whack 'em upside the head with your four lb. KJV Bible. Sometimes a smile works just as well. As long as you do it in love. And do it faithfully as unto God. The motive: Our motive ought to be serving God and waiting patiently for Him to give us our next assignment. We shouldn't be out to please men or to gain a penny. Our motive is love; God's love. The point? Our job as Christians is to go tell people about Jesus Christ. The Great Commission was not a great suggestion. It was a COMMANDMENT. He said to GO. Make a New Year's resolution to be a better witness for Him in 2017. |
